Barack and Roll
February 1, 2008
This election season is like the Super Bowl for me. There’s not much I love more than political analysis, and this past month has been a blast for that. Tsunami Tuesday is soon upon us (and yes I will be hosting a small gathering at my place to watch it all) and Monday afternoon, I’ll be participating in “Hands Across Mass Ave Bridge,” an event for Obama supporters like myself.
Many of my friends have already expressed their support for Obama, but some of them (mostly white women) are still on the fence about whether they want to support Hillary Clinton instead. For them, I offer this video, courtesy of Fox News. I never thought I’d say this, but yay for Ann Coulter!

I saw this the other day when a friend pointed it out. I think it’s a huge publicity stunt. She is very Republican, and I think she was just making a point that she doesn’t like John McCain. I think she likes Mike Huckabee, but he won’t win. Instead, she’s trying to scare Fox News’ conservative audience into not voting for John McCain.
I’m not inclined to let Ann Coulter make up my mind for me
And while I’m leaning Obama at this point, I’m still in a little bit of a wait-and-see mode. I do think that Obama is a little naive in his belief that he can easily bring together sides that are so deeply polarized, and I don’t have a clear sense yet of who he plans to lean on for expertise in the areas where he’s weaker (health care, for example).
